Did You Know that Green Beavers Built Dams on the River of Laughter?

A prose poem of burned voices, Elysian fields, and a river of laughter that is never in the poet's city. It explores whether holiness can be separated from decay and evil, or whether they are one and the same process.

Question: Is holiness separable from decay and evil, or are they the same process?

Like a child of the sky of a mark of the lost, in the smoke of a burned voice of the devil.

Fragments of twilight beneath the Elysian Fields woven through astral streets.

A divinity of eternal whiteness in a coffin falters as if I see the entire ocean from that cliff.

And the glow of a thousand suns dark was while I was homeless.

On a soft bed flora fell asleep.

Through forbidden bays it swims, like a priest of hell, like a man in freedom.

In the garden of the past the herald of heaven has drowned.

Why do you flee the ritual of sacrifice?

The ashes of a burned body were the ground that God created.

From fauna we arose, why do we feed the sacred with poison?

Empty days pass, and within them distorted memories.

Lilacs wither beneath dreams.

A sky full of oblivion, which will become the past.

A gaze of contempt looks at me through fire.

An eternal lullaby will play on the river of laughter.

Why does the Abandoned call your name?

Clouds enchanted with whiteness were cold while the sinner I was.

An empty room of shadows carved into a wall of ash.

An unknown silhouette walks through my body, pierced by thorned hands.

A pale fragile petal will once again serve Aurora.

Your wound will be carved in the heavenly chambers.

Why do you allow me to drown in colored nothingness?

The river of laughter is not in my city.

I want rain to fall… rain over the stars… to fall… to fall… with fear of falling.
