My name is Yanwei (Jenny) Jiang; I was born in Beijing, China, where I lived for 13 years before moving to Singapore for school, and I am currently a rising senior at United World College South East Asia. Being exposed to the diverse philosophical environments in Europe and America, I realized the fundamental lackings of philosophical education in Asia, and so I joined the Secondary School Philosophy Conference committee to organize philosophy conferences for high school students throughout the country. Moreover, after IPO 2025, a truly life-changing and enlightening experience, I decided to revive the Singapore delegation, who would likely join the rest of the delegations in Poland next year. My philosophical interests are existentialism (particularly that of Jean-Paul Sartre and Simone de Beauvoir), post-structuralism/post-modernism, and feminist philosophy (particularly that of Judith Butler).
