Rimantė Kelpšaitė
My journey with philosophy began when I started high school. In our first class, my new ethics teacher abruptly entered the room and asked, “Raise your hand if you believe that life has no meaning.” I was the only one to raise my hand. He didn’t say anything in response, only offered me a knowing smile. I think about that moment almost every day. Most people would describe me as dualistic. I am an artist, a passionate enthusiast of humanitarian studies, and a complete bookworm; at the same time, I am a tech nerd, pursuing my studies and career in the IT field. Beyond my academics, I find meaning in spontaneity, travel, and encounters with nature — especially forests and lakes, whose quietness often invites a kind of reflection that theory alone cannot provide. If you don’t see me reading and analyzing works by Immanuel Kant, you’ll likely find me buried in a pile of paints and canvases or crying because my code isn’t working.
