Makarim Dariosh

Afghanistan

I am Makarim Dariosh, a 22-year-old philosophy student at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, originally from Afghanistan and now living in Paris. Beyond the university, I serve as the general secretary of “Arman”, an association dedicated to cultural and educational initiatives for the women and girls of Afghanistan. I also lead the publication of Arman’s online magazine, a multilingual platform in English, French, and Persian that brings philosophy, culture, and social issues into dialogue. I admire the beauty of good books, the depth of good music, and the rhythm of football, where thought and instinct intertwine. I find solace in nature, wandering among trees, listening to birds, and letting the quiet wisdom of the natural world speak in its own silent language. In all that I do, I seek to unite reflection with action, words with change.
