Lily Rose Willems

My name is Elisabeth-Rose, and I am 17 years old. I graduated from Sint-Jan Berchmans Secondary School, where I focused on Greek, Mathematics, and Sciences. My studies included ancient Greek philosophy, engaging with texts like Plato’s Symposium, Aristotle’s Metaphysics, and Gorgias’ dialogues, which sparked my deep passion for philosophy. Currently, I am studying Biomedical Sciences at the Vrije Universiteit van Brussel, but the sciences don’t offer the same existential inquiries as philosophy. Missing the philosophical discussions of secondary school, I sought out Philosium, encouraged by my friends Diane and Sacha. Joining this organization is more than an academic interest; it is a way to reconnect with the principles that shape my worldview, to continue asking the fundamental questions of existence, and to participate in a community valuing deep, meaningful dialogue.
