Arnaud Decamps
I’m currently in my final year of secondary school, after a bilingual education that sparked a strong interest in social sciences—particularly philosophy, sociology, and economics. I’m especially drawn to absurdism and positivism, and Albert Camus’ The Myth of Sisyphus continues to shape my perspective on meaning and the human condition. I believe absurdism and positivism can coexist: as Camus wrote, “One must imagine Sisyphus happy.” Absurdity doesn’t prevent action—it makes it lucid. I was introduced to Philosium by Sacha Pierluigi and was immediately inspired by its mission and the intellectual space it fosters. I write small-scale essays on political and economic issues, and my passion for finance and investment has given me valuable tools to better understand today’s world. Outside of academics, I’m a certified ski instructor and a passionate mountain enthusiast.
